現在はvar.ではなくforma.に変わっていました。
通常種が先だけ黄色に染まる真っ赤な花序を出すのに対し
こちらは薄緑色の花序から真っ白の花を咲かせます。
標本産地以外では発見されていないようです。
流通の少ない珍しいブロメリアです。
